AFEL (Action for Early Learning) - Drexel University Initiative
A kindergarten readiness program. We focus on the 5 learning domains to help children prepare for kindergarten: Gross Motor, Fine Motor, Math and Literacy.
Families Forward Partnership
Providing information about quality childcare to a neighborhood shelter. Persons from the shelter receive priority enrollment. Fulfilling parents' need to secure childcare while they are in search of jobs, housing, and other needed areas of stability.
SJU Occupational Therapy: Explore & More
A community childcare center chosen for their Occupational Therapy Program. SJ Students, studying OT, interact with children who may or may not be on the spectrum, creating a sensory-filled space for one on one interaction.
Parkway West: Education Pathways
Aimed at hosting 6-8 teens at our center for paid internships and real-world experience. Recognizing the accomplishments of students in our Early Childhood Education (ECE) Pre-Apprenticeship Program and Black Male Educator Pipeline Program.
Slide Into Success
This program trains teachers to implement a hands-on, nature-based curriculum that helps elevate their ratings in the PA Keystone STARS system.
Early Literacy Program
Focuses on the 5 Pillars: building phonemic awareness, vocabulary, and comprehension through daily reading, writing, talking, singing, and playing in interactive, language-rich environments.
Sesame Street in Communities
An online platform used to help children and caregivers cope with life and possible traumatic experiences - homelessness, incarceration, blended families, divorce, and communication.
University of Pennsylvania & Penn GSE
Staff participate in the Professional Learning Network (PLN) Learning Labs. Includes community events like Wawa Welcome America - A Childcare Play day at Penn Park featuring interactive, educational activities.
